1-4-2012 – Update From Ingham County LandBank
We ended December with our 36th sale of a new or fully renovated home.
This is almost 50% above the 2010 total of 21. And we had sales activity
in November and December that should bring 5 closings in early 2012.
Check out our current listings at www.inghamlandbank.org or look for our
monthly ad in the City Pulse. Speaking of the City Pulse, the tax forfeiture
list that leads to the 2012 foreclosures is in Wednesday’s edition.
The grand opening of the NEO Center and new Kincaid-Henry offices at
934 Clark Street in conjunction with our Holiday Party was a grand affair.
Over 300 folks joined us December 8th to see this wonderful neighborhood
asset in Northtown. Incubator space is available (www.neocenter.org).
And for those of you that missed the party – but want to take a turn on the
circular slide from the 2nd floor to the 1st - are invited to join me there this
Friday, January 6th at 2 p.m.
I have the honor this year of being Board Chair for Capital Area Community
Services. In addition to helping raise awareness of the Penny for Power
program with the Board of Water and Light (remember to round up your bill),
I’m helping their Walk for Warmth event on February 25th. The walk literally
helps keep the lights on for low income households. Let me know if you wish
to be sponsor my walk.
And finally a Happy New Year to you and your efforts that make the Lansing
area Great.
