February of March
Mardi Gras is the biggest fundraiser of the year. It has been celebrated since the 1970's.
Proceeds from Mardi Gras help fund Ingham County's endorsed candidates and party
activities.
Democrats enjoy each other's company while participating in "Happy Hour", and a "Buffet"
with New Orleans and American specialties. Awards are presented and the evening ends
with winners leaving with their "Silent Auction" purchases. A "Fun Evening" is had by all!
The 3rd Wednesday of July
ICDP's summer picnic is a family affair. It is not only to raise money: This is a time when
families have an opportunity to get together and have fun. Hot dogs and hamburgers are
provided along with games and prizes for the kids.
August
ICDP hosts an information booth at the Ingham County Fair. This is an opportunity to promote
Democrats for their candidacy. Attendees can stop by the booth, pick-up candidate literature,
and learn more about the Ingham County Democratic Party.
